it was the first time i saw him smile and listen attentively to every word i said, as i gave a recount of my 2nd interview today :)
haha i told jx about the content of the test i had to take, she claims i am a genius! yay!!
i'm not a finance student (okay, so i did one finance module, i think i've even forgotten how to calculate CAPM). and i was amazed at how i could answer the 20 something questions with regards to the financial market of singapore and the region.
in addition i was given an article to read of which was written mostly in finance terms/jargon, i caught the gist of it, and managed to answer the production editor's questions well! he read my essay and thought it was good stuff, and decided to hire me on the spot. but..... it's a 3 month internship, hence i'm rather hesitant. i'd like to be working full time. on the other hand if i were to take up the job, i'd be writing for Singapore Business Review (yes, laugh all you want, you'd think i'd be better off writing in a fashion magazine don't you? actually i'd love to!).
anyway God deserves all the glory, the answers would never have came to my mind, without His favour!! THANK YOU GOD!!
i'm still job searching, but i know the right door will open soon enough! :D
oh yes... something else really funny happened. before he concluded the interview, he asked "i see on your resume you state that you speak tamil?" YOU MEAN I DO???? (note: he is an indian). mmm... oh well i could say vasantham central. maybe i do speak a bit of tamil! haha anyway as intrigued as he was, i took a glance at the resume as he pointed to the foot of the page where the size 12 times new roman font clearly printed: 2nd language - tamil. it turned out the 2nd half of my resume got confused with someone else's. what a joke.
