the SINGAPORE national museum

i think the previous and only time i went to the national museum was when i was 8.

wished i had brought my camera, but these pictures would just have to make do.

.history gallery.

it speaks and obeys my every command
known as the "companion" and an excellent tool it was, escorted me throughout the Singapore historical gallery and told countless stories.

whoever finds these keyS unlocks the secretS of my heart

Singapore was known as Syonan during the Japanese occupation
(i bet most of us forgot that historical fact. at least i did!)

hats & mats

despite evolution at work,
some things never change.

women still need cosmetics

and want more kissable lips, hair and make up tips.
"Make Up Gives Glamour!"

of course,
we couldn't forget MM Mr Lee Kuan Yew (whose birthday is coming up soon!)

.fashion gallery.

yards and yards of materials

i would never be caught dead in this wedding gown
on the other hand,
you might catch me alive in this cheong sum :)

.food gallery.

ice kachang machine

it's the mooncake festival!
traditional moulds

.music gallery.

.photo gallery.

the shadows from the lanterns painted patterns on the wall

there was something about this bedroom that drew my attention
you could see the sun beams clearly entering from the windows

smile and maybe tomorrow ...

throughout i kept wishing min was there with me. definitely beats having "the companion"... because it can't take pictures for me nor pose together with me and the artifacts.

next stop,
the Art Museum. Anyone?
