it's late. quiet moments like this ... i embrace. i tell myself the world has come to a temporary halt (for everyone's asleep).

i keep my itunes on shuffle mode, because i like that it surprises me by playing my next favourite song (cheap thrill i know).

i create as many possible outcomes of situations in my mind as fast as i can think, to prepare myself for what's to come next. it has to be one of the "options" right? (wrong)

sometimes when i drive to the work, i imagine i'm heading somewhere else. don't they say it's the journey that's more important than the destination?

when i was young i was determined that i could count the number of stars in the sky, because i thought they followed me wherever i went without realising wherever i went they were there (first - it's the sky that they've made their home).

i want to write cards for hallmark when i'm old & retired, hoping its content will reach out and touch like-minded ones

i think love is more than a feeling but it's also a choice

life's full of "its". random ones.

i really miss dancing classical ballet. it used to be sunday evening ballet classes,
but now it's the occasional Friday night dancing to the tunes of above & beyond, tiesto, guetta
(& God forbid even Pitbull)...
haha stark contrast eh.

it doesn't matter that people say it's ludicrous, we still refuse to admit.

why does our heart ache when we are grieved?
why do tears flow involuntarily?
how could century old memories be played so vividly in our minds?
how is it that we can feel time come to a standstill?

there really wasn't much to do except to swim.

and since we don't really like swimming, this was what we did:

local food was really tasty, a home-cook flavoured meal

and when we were tired, we sat in our beach chairs ... relaxed

i was twelve and impressionable.

well being witches, one of the sisters decided that she would concoct the man of her dreams. a spell she created with the help of her sister, she formulated her soul mate in a porcelain bowl. if only it were true, i'd do the same

my recipe would read:
a dash of charm
a teaspoon of sweetness
an ounce of humour
a spoonful of generosity
a cup of courage
a pint of wisdom
bushels of love

and i'd make all sorts of recipes for all my girlfriends!

my bestfriend and i talked for hours like we never did before. and so we grumbled a little about how our age is creeping up slowly, unnoticeably... but surely. friends are getting married which led her to confess that she's finally looking for a partner. a headstrong woman as she is and one who doesn't trust men easily, what a breakthrough :) i pray she finds the one who loves her more than she loves him.

and so we exchanged what we felt is the most important characteristic we look for in an ideal partner;

weeeeeeeeee i'm really excited about my upcoming trip to Thailand on the thirty-first. we'll be planning our itinerary next week. really hope that sling would wanna go site-seeing with me :)

the last time i visited was a decade ago, vaguely remember how it was like... although HongKong would be my first short holiday choice, but a friend of ours is getting married there, so we're heading to thailand!

plus i have 2 nights free stay at Swissotel, Nai Lert Park. Sometimes i like that i work in a hotel, to enjoy such privileges :)

sunday was a day filled with overwhelming emotions. probably explains why i still can't sleep...

and so i started to sketch (which i haven't done so in years, hence the disproportionate lines)
nevertheless, it was fun and therapeutic : )

i think an ideal amusement park should be built by a pier, an endless boardwalk that leads to the sea. the rides overlooking an expanse of water... but oh well since they don't have such a place in singapore, i've decided to paint an amusement park on my bedroom walls!

although i think it's more than a tad bit ambitious, i'll just have to wait till i've got the extra time. i'll start with the carousel soon (i hope)!

I've got a sausage for a finger, burnt by a saucer of chill padi, badly :(

tonight, we had our appetite's sated at uncle leong's - crabs to be exact! the office had a farewell dinner for winnie (tomorrow's her last day with us : ( ).

i think i need a tiny break from all the incessant working that's almost starting to wear my mortal body down. but i was really encouraged by pst tan, who shared - having a spirit that recieves new revelations daily from God keep him going. Hence, despite my tired frame, im stirring my spirit alive!

but i'm thankful that the 3 of us could finally meet for supper last night!

i should be in bed now. midnight run on a weekday, not a good idea.
finally got myself running again after a good 1 month of nil exercise.

i will be fit! air was unusually still. not exactly the best weather to be running.

work hasn't been the easiest. because it's a people industry in a huge property, and people are the most challenging to deal with. everyone is so different. i could very well have been a computer technician and all i had to do was to fix an inanimate object that cannot vent its anger or reveal any emotions. but i chose people. hardpress on all ends. but i know with God by my side, He will direct my path. with every step i put my best foot forward :)

you don't say... i can't expect everyone to be nice or be treated with respect all the time can i? haha

wedding show's coming up in 2 weeks time! i think its one of the rare times when i'm really really looking forward to work. and so lately i've been looking through some wedding stuff. i've decided not to have a chinese dinner wedding, but an outdoor one :)

wedding cake and sweets a must have for every guest to savour.

a girl can only dream can't she? hehe.

finally, some updates:

all thanks to dixon, i made it to coldplay last week!

i finally reached home at 9pm today. the earliest in a looooong looooong while.
fighting to keep my eyes open -.- also...eyesight deteriorating which is not a good sign.

but an extraordinarily unexpected call made my day today :) flattered, amazed and excited!

can't wait for PM tmr! going to pray up a storm :)

seems like tomorrow is going to be an exciting day.

i realise that there's so many things i've yet to do... that requires time and $.

1) Diving - Maldives diving trip
2) DSLR - travel the world
3) Apparels - the more the merrier
4) Ballet - i like and miss so much
5) Learn Japanese - useful

when will i be able to accomplish them? i ask,

for my youth is fleeting by...

just returned home from fairmont's first FULL MOON YOGA (although the moon was no where in sight), organised by our very own willow streams. i thought it was a tremendous success, with our coporate clients and guests enjoying themselves.

:D tired, and with sales blitz tomorrow, i think we are going to dread stepping out of the office in our heels.

when we first entered the tennis court, we were each greeted with a cold refreshing towel, and they had a station where spa attendants were there to clean our feet with relaxing ointments.

the music so relaxing, court dimly lit with candles and red rose petals, the surroundings; epitome of tranquility... until we started a series of unachievable stances. the media was also there to film every single minute of our awkward attempts as the instructor overly ambitiously, encouraged us to follow after her. i reckon i could never have done any of those positions she demonstrated even if i was made of rubber.

-.- took the wrong bus by mistake AGAIN! (i'm going at an average of 1 wrong bus ride per month)
and found myself at serangoon. the best part, i forgot my wallet.

thank God for my sister whose sleeping habits are owl-like.
i should have took a cab from riverwalk directly. failed to save my pennies :(

although i did gain something from the long bus ride - a really bad headache. >.< haha okay pardon me while i just rant for a short bit after a long day at work.

i'm happy again. :)

i chanced upon 3 maids sitting on the steps, what are the odds i'd see 4 dogs sprawled by them side by side, all of different breeds. i couldnt jog past without going up to them, so i briefly chatted with the maids and stroked each one the doggies happily. not before long, it started drizzling again, and so i hurried away to finish my laps. :( wished i had a longer time to play with the doggies.

anyway i think other than CHANEL, LOEWE makes nice bags :D
and as much as i like KATE SPADE's ad campaigns, i like LOEWE's too.
